- Duration: Duration: Membership is valid for two years.
- Eligibility: Membership is open to all students and scholars contributing to the advancement of sociological knowledge concerning East Asian and neighboring societies.
- Fees: The two-year membership fees are as follows:
Membership Fees
- Regular Member* — USD 100
- Student Member** — USD 50
* Regular Members are defined as scholars and researchers holding a formal position at an academic or research institution.
** Student membership requires submission of a valid student ID issued by an academic institution.

Please note that members residing in South Korea cannot pay through the online payment system. If you live in South Korea, please pay the membership fee by bank transfer to the following account:
• Bank: Woori Bank (우리은행)
• Account Number: 1005-303-694008
• Account Holder: 동아시아사회학회 (East Asian Sociological Association) When making the transfer, please use the applicant’s full name as the sender name. The EASA’s account at Woori Bank is a Korean won (KRW) account. Please convert the membership fee (US$100) into KRW at the exchange rate on the date of payment, and transfer that amount in Korean won.
